Day 1: Delhi - Jaipur

Arrive New Delhi airport. You will be met and transferred to Jaipur (4 hr. drive). Afternoon guided tour of Jaipur. Overnight at Shahpura House or similar. (meals on own)

Day 7: Agra – Khajuraho - Panna

Board train to Jhansi at 0800 hrs. Arrive Jhansi at 1025 hrs. You will be met and transferred to Khajuraho (3 hr. drive). Includes guided visit of the world-famous temples. 2 nights Panna Tiger Resort. (D)

Day 10: Bandhavgarh

Morning and afternoon jeep safaris in the National Park for tiger tracking and wildlife viewing. (B), (L) & (D)

Day 2: Jaipur - Bharatpur

Morning at leisure or additional sightseeing. After lunch, drive (4 hrs) to Bharatpur. Stay at Hotel Sunbird.(B) D)

Days 3 and 4: Bharatpur

Explore Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary wetland areas with a guide for a full day cycle rickshaw or on foot). Likely species include painted storks, dusky eagle owl, numerous eagles and vultures, white pelicans etc.

Day 8: Panna

Morning and afternoon jeep safari in Panna NP. Listen for chital and sambhar deer alarm calls that might give away the presence of a tiger. (B), (L) & (D)

Day 9: Panna – Bandhavgarh

Morning jeep safari at Panna NP. With over 200 species of birds recorded, there will be plenty to look out for! After breakfast drive to Bandhavgarh NP (6 hrs). Check-in at hotel. Evening bird watching around the hotel. 2 nights at Hotel Bandhavgarh Jungle Lodge or similar. (B), (L) & (D)

Day 11: Bandhavgarh – Kanha NP

Morning jeep safaris at Bandhavgarh NP. After breakfast, drive (6 hrs) to Kanha NP, where Rudyard Kipling was inspired to write his Jungle Book. 2 nights at Krishna Jungle Resort or similar. (B) packed (L) & (D)

Day 12: Kanha National Park

Morning and afternoon jeep safaris in the NP to search for the endangered barasinga and tiger etc. (B), (L) & (D)

Day 5: Bharatpur

Morning visit to either Deeg fortifications and gardens or Bund Baretha for birdwatching. (B), (L) & (D)

Day 6: Bharatpur – Agra

Final morning in the Park. Afternoon visit to the Taj Mahal (Friday closed) and Red Fort. Overnight at Hotel Deedar-e-taj (B)

Day 9: Panna – Bandhavgarh

Morning jeep safari at Panna NP. With over 200 species of birds recorded, there will be plenty to look out for! After breakfast drive to Bandhavgarh NP (6 hrs). Check-in at hotel. Evening bird watching around the hotel. 2 nights at Hotel Nature Heritage Resort or similar. (B), (L) & (D)

Day 10: Bandhavgarh

Morning and afternoon jeep safaris in the National Park for tiger tracking and wildlife viewing. (B), (L) & (D)

Day 13 Kanha – Delhi

Morning jeep safari in Kanha NP. After breakfast, transfer to Jabalpur (3½ hours) to catch overnight train to Delhi at 1540 hr. Overnight stay in air-conditioned sleeper train. (B) & packed (L)

Day 14: Delhi - onwards

Arrive Delhi at 0720 hr. You will be met and transferred to the Hotel Sunstar for wash and change. Transfer to the airport to fly back to home. Tour ends.
